Jeremy Baldridge's Space Marines

These are just a few models from my unfinished Space Marine army. It's the first army I've ever built and painted, so the workmanship is a little crude. Since I started collecting Marines in the early 90's, I had so many of them lying around that I figured they would be a good project for 3rd Edition when I started playing 40k again.

This is the current Leader of my Space Marine army. He's a way OOP figure (a pilot?), from the Rogue Trader era I believe. I gave him a salt-and-pepper haircut to show his years, and stuck a chest of booty under his foot. The theme of my army is "a bunch of laid-back freebooters" and plan to use the Dark Angels rules to represent their unwillingness to do anything but sit around...
Here are a few random marines, an OOP scout on the left (note the eyepatch), a 2nd Ed. figure in the center with a RT era bolt pistol (rather dainty), and a scimitar ripped off from the Reaper series. I converted him before Brian started making his Saracens, so no royalties are owed. The fellow on the right is just a guy out of the paint set.
This conversion defines the pinnacle of laziness my Space Marine army exhibits: a completely undisciplined Marine tossing the ammo belt of his heavy bolter over a shoulder pad, meanwhile the stock of the sacred weapon is on the ground with an utter lack of respect for the prayers and ceremonies it took to create. Meanwhile, his pack leans against his right calf, ready to fall over into the mud.

A couple names for the chapter I've thought of include: The Bastard Sons, The White Rooks, and the One-Eyed Jacks. To keep in theme with the army, I doubt I'll ever have the energy to finish them. Besides, I don't find Space Marines as interesting as other armies.
