Your requests for a campaign structure have not fallen on deaf ears, and now is your chance to participate in this ongoing campaign. Every week or two you'll need to visit this page to cast your vote, to decide the fate of the Imperium and the Eldar.

Upcoming polls will allow you to direct the forces involved around the campaign map. Each new batrep will chronicle the results of your decisions. Don't miss the important polls that will be located at the bottom of this page!

Background
Ordur IV is an abandoned Imperial outpost located upspin and coreward of Earth. Lying just inside the Segmentum Obscurus, it forms a neat triangle with Molov and Valhalla. At one time, Ordur IV served as a staging ground into the Segmentum Obscurus, and its forges churned out the finest in Imperial craftsmanship.

Surges from the Emperor's Wrath, a nearby warpstorm, resistance from the Eldar living in the area, and Ork incursions passing downspin towards Segmentum Solar, all combined to force the Imperium out of the area. The forges were hastily shut down, the secrets buried, the outposts abandoned, and the planet devastated...

After an absence of several hundred years, the Imperium has sent a rather large detachment to reclaim the forges. Expecting the world to be an arid wasteland, as they had left it, the Imperium sent rugged forces from Tallarn, including the fast-moving, hard hitting reconaissance forces of the Marines Saracen. Instead, they found the planet once again returning to verdant life-- no doubt due to the presence of several Eldar Craftworld in the area. Nothing else could explain the planet's rapid recovery.

Nearby troops from Valhalla and Molov-- in the form of the Adeptus Ministorum-- were quickly dispatched to bolster the Imperial presence and press home their claim-- by force if necessary.

The Campaign for Ordur IV

Orders from Terra were to find out what the Eldar knew of the area, and to avoid conflict with them if possible. However, under no circumstances were the forges or the archeotech stored there to fall into the hands of the aliens.

What Has Happened So Far
BatRep 020: 05/29/2000: Imperial Guard vs Eldar, Siegebreaker
Imperial and Eldar battleships circle the planet, while their commanders meet on "neutral ground" at the Dumarth Plains. Even the Callidus working inside cannot discover whether the Eldar are aware of the forges within the planet, or merely "passing through" as they claim. The recalcitrance of the Eldar wears thin on the patience of the Imperial command; suspecting treachery at any moment, the captain initiates a pre-emptive strike. Most of the Eldar are wiped out completely; a small group of guardians and a lone Swooping Hawk escape to warn the rest of the Eldar host. The forces of the Imperium now hold the Dumarth Plains, and await the inevitable retaliation from the Eldar craftworlds.

BatRep 021: 06/04/2000: Space Marines vs Eldar, Cleanse
The Saracens' attempt at planetfall is quickly squashed, and they are forced to fall back, where they rejoin the Guard; the Eldar pursue, and battle is joined.  Although they suffered heavy casualties in the battle that followed, the Eldar gave as good as they got, fighting the Imperial forces to a standstill. The area of the Land Bridge just below the West Plateau would become the front line of the battles to come.

BatRep 022: 06/18/2000: Space Marines vs Eldar, Death by Moonlight
The Saracens risk one more push against the Eldar front. If they can push through, the Eldar will be forced to fall back. If they are defeated, the Eldar will swarm past them onto the Imperial Guard...

The Campaign for Ordur IV

What's the next move?

Imperials
Send an Imperial scout patrol south to the ruins of Capital City
A small, fast scout patrol could swing south past the Eldar and into Capital City. Perhaps the libraries there contain some clue to the location of the Titan Forges.
Airlift the Saracens to prepare them for a new strike

Leave the Imperial Guard to hold the current position; return the Saracens to their Thunderhawks to prepare them for a surgical strike when needed.
Send the Vindicare on an assassination mission to disrupt Eldar command
Carl the Vindicare is hungry for blood. But can a lone Vindicare on a sniper mission into the Eldar compound possibly succeed?
Send an Inquisitor to take command!

The campaign has not progressed with sufficient speed or the desired results. Someone must be held accountable...
Send a scout patrol to the Dumarth Plains for a suitable temporary airfield

Although unsuitable for large-scale dropships, there may be a strip of flat land suitable to land a small force with light support vehicles.
Send probes to search for the Titan Forges

Although their chance of success is slim, and their presence may tip our hand to the Eldar, it is imperative that we find the Titan Forges without delay.

Eldar
Destroy the airfields on the West Plateau while fortifying your position

The Imperial forces seem fairly well contained now, with an angry horde from Commoragh on thier rear as well. However, foresight dictates it would still be prudent to destroy the airfields to prevent their recapture.
Observe Imperial movements
Watch and wait to see what the mon-keigh do next; then, armed with this knowledge we can intercept their movements and ruin their plans.
Secure the High Pass

We have the West Plateau and the airfields there, now we should move to secure the high pass from ground forces.
Secure Capital City to investigate the Imperial libraries there

Surely even the mon-keigh have some knowledge useful to our plans. Their libraries could hold interesting observations of use to our people.
Send a ranger patrol to disrupt the Imperial supply lines

The Imperial forces have constructed a crude but effective rail system behind the front lines, enabling them to move quickly to respond to threats from either side. We should disable this supply line to force them to concentrate on one front or the other.
Ally with the Dark Eldar to remove the human scum

Surely even the Dark Eldar can be trusted long enough to rid this planet of human scum. After that... we will deal with our lost brothers on our own terms.
