Escalating Scouting Engagement
Advanced Rogue Trader Tournament Mission

Overview: Both sides are attempting to punch through the enemy lines to establish forward positions and probe the enemy's strength in preparation for a major attack.

Scenario Special Rules: This scenario uses Reserves, Deep Strike, Infiltrators, and Special rules.

*Reserves: Your army is spread out on a wide front and may actually arrive on the side edges instead of the long edges. Roll a dice for each reserve unit as it arrives to determine which table edge that it will enter from: 1 - Left side edge. 2-5 Your long table edge. 6 - Right side edge.

No friendly model may deploy on the enemy's long table edge.

Set up: Set up the terrain using the standard rules. Both players roll a die, the player with the highest score may choose which side to deploy on. The other players deployment zone is the opposite side. The player who chose which table edge to deploy on places one unit of troops within 12" of their table edge. The other player places one unit of Troops within 12" of their table edge.

Note: All units that can infiltrate may be placed on the board at the beginning of the game. They may be placed anywhere on the table, so long as they are at least 18" away from enemy models. If both sides have infiltrators, roll a dice to see who deploys theirs first. Roll for who gets first turn. Highest score may choose whether to go first or second.

Mission Objective: Destroy the enemy and secure the area from all enemy forces. The player that occupies the most quarters of the board at the end of the game wins.

Game Length: 6 turns or 2 hours, whichever comes first.

Line of Retreat: Troops forced to fall back will do so directly towards the table edge they arrived from, using the normal fall back rules.
