TURN ONE-- Dark Eldar: The first turn was played in the darkness of night, just before sunrise. It became clear that taking the last turn was a good choise for Samuli as Panus' Dark Eldar were unable to fire a single shot. That did not stop the Eldar from surging forward from their hiding places, however. The aliens took a good claim to all quarters by running forward from all positions.

All sixty troopers ran as fast as possible to get near the enemy before the break of dawn. The Reaver Jetbikes stepped on their afterburners and started off to the marines' left flank. The Archon himself silently led his Raider from one cover behind the central hill to the next, almost getting his eager retinue to assault range.
The space marines would have a long way to go to reclaim the corners, as they were all cramped in the far corner.

However, when the Dark Angels came close enough they started to rain death on their opponents. And indeed the Emperor was with Samuli as the first shot from the Whirlwind vaporizes four of the squad of five Scourges in the ruins in the middle of the battle field.
After the initial success the dreadnought and other Dark Angels consentrated on the advancing Talos. The ghastly torturechamber turned to warmachine took hit after hit from the Space Marine lascannons and finally slumped to the ground.

The total death toll was staggering after the Landspeeders, Tactical Marines, Terminators and Dreadnought had fired: The Talos lay broken on the ground and the squad in the woods had lost six Dark Eldar warriors. Not to be scared off lightly, the Dark Eldar Squad refused to run away and even the lone Scourge stood his ground! There were still lots of Eldar squads advancing towards the marine corner.
