TURN ONE- Eldar: The Imperials had not anticipated the Alaitoc's proximity, so they faltered as the alert relayed through their ranks. As the Guard waited for the order to begin firing, the Eldar formed a line across the battlefield. A Wave Serpent hovered along each flank, ushering an entourage of foot troops and smaller vehicles.
As the leftmost Serpent raced forward, it battered the Griffon with a Star Cannon burst and shook the crew. Guardians sprung out from the nearby woods, ennerved by the Farseer, and recklessly fired at the dug-in Praetorians. Their shurikens embedded into the sandbag wall and sliced into six guardsmen. Down the way, a Falcon shrieked into position and fused the Iron Chimera's multilaser with a well-placed shot. The Dark Reapers knelt in a line behind a low wall to brace their launchers, and released a volley upon the advancing Sentinels--only managing to cripple one's leg actuators and tear off a multilaser. The nearby Serpent managed to bring one Sentinel crashing to the ground, while "Spirit Brother" detonated another with its bright lance. The Banshees and Rangers bided their time, waiting for soft targets to emerge.

TURN ONE- Imperial Guard: The Imperial's hesitation was brief, as a deafening shot from the guarded Basilisk signaled their retaliation. As the Eldar Falcon ducked behind a hill, the falling ordnance crashed into its hull but failed to explode with full intensity. Yet, the impact was powerful enough to stun its crew. The Iron Chimera's multilaser flickered in rapid succcession, sawing the bodies of two Guardians in half. One of the remaining Praetorians in the huddle grasped for a grenade launcher, firing a krak round at the leftmost Serpent-- and the craft's Star Cannon was instantly turned into modern art.
A cheer went up from the Imperial line as a blinding flash radiated out from the Sentinel assembly, and the hulk of the other Wave Serpent was eviscerated. As it collided with the earth, three of the Banshees received a free cremation as they died screaming amidst the tangle of steel and wire.
