TURN ONE- Eldar: The enemy came into sight through the trees just as the Eldar crested the hills. The Wave Serpent carried its grim and silent Wraithguard cargo to the west flank while the bulk of the army advanced straight for the enemy. The guardians were counting on the Wraithlords to take out some of the Imperial armor staring them down, but the hasty, loping gate of the giant constructs send their shots wide. Small arms fire opened up on the Praetorians crouching in the woods-- scatter lasers and reaper launchers were too much for even the stout Praetorians, who were forced to flee farther into the woods.

TURN ONE- Imperials: The sight of the Praetorians fleeing under a whistling hail of fire from the Dark Reapers set the mortars to work on a quick retaliation. Their shots acted as tracers for the Basilisk, and the combined bombardment took out two of the Reapers and their Exarch, leaving the rest pinned and gulping hot air.
Captain ben Chismar and his command section dismounted from their Chimera and sighted down on the Wave Serpent. To their own amazement, their krak grenades downed the skimmer. They watched as a Warlock and four surviving Wraithguard stumbled out.

The bulk of the Imperials opened up on the advancing guardians, but even with the Vindicare picking off support platform crew, they only managed to kill three or four of them.
Commander Farrakhan cursed the piss-poor aim of the Exterminator crew, promising himself he'd put them through rigorous training as soon as possible-- but for the meantime he had bigger fish to fry. His Razorback crew fired an inspiring lascannon blast that wounded one of the advancing Wraithlords.
