TURN TWO- Imperial Guard: The Basilisk crew hastily readjusted their aim to catch the huge mob of fleet-footed Eldar. Their shot was not perfect, but it managed to slam down close to the edge of the mob. The Warlock was protected by his Rune Armor but a couple of guardians nearby were not so lucky. He winced as their bodies were blasted to smithereens and their spirits lost to the warp.
The mortars had now found their range and started blasting away with deadly accuracy. They killed the Swooping Hawk Exarch as well as another Hawk and a nearby guardian. The ratlings continued to blast away at the Wraithlord at extreme range, but could not penetrate its armor. The lieutenant ordered his lascannon to fire at the frail-looking legs of the Wraithlord, but the amazingly nimble construct managed to crouch down beneath the sandbags and avoid the shot. The rest of the Guard continued to whittle away at guardians, killing another half dozen or so.

TURN TWO- Eldar: The Eldar were in no mood to be Exterminated. Guided by the Farseer, the Reaper Exarch managed to shake the crew; but the guardians' missile launcher and even the Wraithlord's bright lance could not penetrate its armor. The Fire Dragons continued to advance towards the big tank but knew that they would probably never make it. At best, they hoped to provide a more tempting target than the guardians, who might still escape.
