TURN ONE- Khorne: The Obliterators were unable to spot any targets, so they slowly lumbered out into the open, hoping to cross through the ruins until they could reach the Nurgle Lord and his retinue. The Chaos Marines to the south struck out across open ground, confident that their more devoted brethren would draw the enemy's attention. The Rhino gunned its engines from a low whine to a high pitched howl, hurtling forward to deliver the bloodthirsty Beserkers to their target. The Possessed trotted patiently along behind, using the Rhino for cover. The Daemon Prince's mighty wings carried him over the woods and ruins, where he gave the signal to begin the assault.

Blood for the Blood God! The Beserkers came pouring out of the front hatches, bolt pistols cracking. One lucky shot downed a Terminator from the Lord's Retinue, and the battle was soon joined. After a frenzied flurry of vicious blows, the Daemon Prince took stock of his charges: Two Beserkers killed, none of the enemy.

TURN ONE- Nurgle: The Predator slowly trundled out from behind the hill and took aim at the Obliterators with its lascannons. With all the skill of a sharpshooter the gunner sent one more of the enemy back to the Realm of Chaos. The Predator seemed vulnerable out in the open, but the tank commander thought differently, aware of the weaknesses of Obliterators and confident that this was an exchange of fire he could win.

The Nurgle Dreadnought was apparently overcome by the glorious bloodlust of Khorne. Ignoring its weapons, it flexed its mighty power claw and lumbered into the melee, cutting down the enemy like ripe Khorne. Once again the Daemon counted the souls sent to his Master: Five more Beserkers killed, none of the enemy. The trap closed on the surviving three Beserkers, who fought on with all the effete, school-girl intensity of their brothers who had gone before.
